Terms and Conditions as at 3rd July 2025

 

GENERAL RULES  BELOW – ALL APPLY TO EACH INDIVIDUAL PROMOTION

  • When registering for the loyalty scheme, person’s must indicate that they are over 18 to receive certain drinks promotions & discounts. Persons may still be asked for proof of age as per the Manx licensing laws, all conditions and acceptable forms of Identification still apply. Service will be refused to anyone who it appears, or cannot prove they are 18 years of age.
  • The company reserve the right to alter / change / the promotion at any time for whatever reason. The company reserve the right to refuse service for any reason / or deny discounts or promotions to any person or group for any reason whatsoever, should the company feel there is sufficient reason too, or that the promotion has been abused in anyway.
  • None of the promotions on the loyalty cards will run during the following dates every year;
    ISLE OF MAN T.T., MANX GRAND PRIX / FESTIVAL OF MOTOR SPORT, DECEMBER 1st – 31st
  • The company holds the final decision on any dispute whatsoever.
  • The card MUST be registered to receive this promotion
  • The customer MUST hand over their card to the server to receive the promotion
  • Any customer who has forgotten their card on the day, cannot ask for the discount another time when producing the card at a later date (i.e. the card must be given at the time – and the discount will only be given on the day.
  • Any customer who has forgotten their card, if they are entitled to some sort of free product whatsoever, cannot claim the prize until their card has been shown
  • Only one promotion can be redeemed at any one time, this is purely because the till system cannot do more than one promotion discount per bill.
  • The promotions are available at both Jaks Bar & Smokehouse, Frank Matcham’s and all Barbary Coast venues only, and no other venues whatsoever.
  • Redeeming any promotion/prize can be done at both venues as above also, and no other venues whatsoever.
  • Not in conjunction with any other promotion on food or drinks in Jaks Bar & Smokehouse, The Barbary Coast Venues and Frank Matcham’s.

5% OFF ALL FOOD AND DRINKS – ALL DAY – EVERYDAY;

  • On handing in your card, you will receive a 5% deduction on any bill/transaction. Whether for one item, or a full bill.
  • The 5% discount applies to both food and drinks
  • The discount applies to snacks and hot drinks also

KIDS EAT FREE

  • Terms and conditions: Promotion valid and applicable at The Barbary Coast (Douglas/East) on Tuesday evenings from 5pm-9pm. Kids must order items from the kids menu only. Whippy ice cream included. Drinks not included. Only children aged 12 and below can receive the promotion. Anyone over this age will be considered an adult, and will have to pay for the meal. Offer is valid ONLY upon the purchase of an adults meal from the menu (appetisers and light bites will not be considered a main meal). Any platter ordered will be classed as one meal only and only one kids meal will be deducted from your bill – this is due to our till system and cannot be changed. Each adult meal purchased will entitle the table to one child’s meal: Therefore 1 adult meal = 1 child’s meal. Management have the right to remove this offer at anytime, and without prior notice. The managements decision is final and binding.

GIFT VOUCHERS  –  TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash

Vouchers can be used to purchase drinks or food and can also be collected if the customer wishes to do so.

Vouchers are valid for one year only from the date of the sale. This is non-negotiable, and any voucher that may be tried to be redeemed after this time will not be accepted under any circumstances.Any promotions available at the time of redemption will also be valid.

Purchases must be made on the voucher within the Jaks Group of venues; these are not redeemable at other venues.
The Jaks Group of venues includes Jaks Bar & Smokehouse, Barbary Coast Grill & Bar Douglas, Frank Matcham’s Cocktail & Music Bar, Barbary Coast Grill & Social Ramsey, and Barbary Coast Grill & Tavern Peel.

When redeeming a voucher, please pass it to your server at the point of payment so it can be redeemed.

Vouchers purchased online must be printed off and handed to your server. Please DO NOT try to show the server the digital copy on your phone. The hard copy must be handed over for redemption.

Online vouchers are digitally stored on the company’s database once they are purchased and redeemed so that the company knows when a voucher has been used. Any customer trying to use a digital voucher more than once will be prosecuted. The manager, staff member, or director who decides that a voucher has already been used will make this decision, which will be final and binding.

Vouchers purchased at any Jaks group venue will have a till receipt stapled to a piece of card. We must be given the till receipt part of this at the point of redemption. Anyone not providing the till receipt copy, and only the card copy, will not be able to redeem, as the till receipt copy has the unique redemption number within.
When redeeming a voucher, the total amount MUST be redeemed. If there is a balance remaining on the voucher at the point of redeeming, we CANNOT::

  • Give cash change
  • Provide another voucher for the remaining balance

Customers may purchase items to take out with them to use up any remaining balance, for example a bottle of wine, or some soft drinks.

The manager’s or directors’ decision on any issues regarding voucher redemption will be final. Should the manager, staff, or directors feel that the voucher is being abused in any way, they will not allow it to be used, and their decision will be final.

LATE LATE SHOWS

VENUE FOR EVENTS: These events are being held at Barbary Coast Douglas ONLY. Please do not go to/arrive at any other Barbary Coast venue. Refunds will not be given to anyone who visits the incorrect venue.

TICKET BOOKING FEES: Please note that any charges for booking fees that are made on purchasing tickets, DO NOT come to Andaz Limited. This is purely a booking fee made by the third party (Skiddle Ltd) used by the company for purchasing tickets. You can view the Skiddle terms and conditions whilst purchasing the tickets.

‘COOLING OFF’ PERIOD: Customers who purchase tickets, should they then be unable to make the show due to any reason, the tickets are fully refundable up to one week before the show, this is called the ‘cooling off period’ all details are within the terms and conditions of the ‘Skiddle’ website. Once the cooling off period has ended, there will be no chance of any refund whatsoever.

REFUNDS: Once tickets have been purchased online, no refunds can be made.

IF YOU HAVE BOOKED INCORRECTLY: If you have accidentally booked either the wrong show or the wrong date please contact us by email on darren@barbarycoast.im immediately, and we will endeavour to assist you in correcting the error asap.

SHOWS THAT INCLUDE A MEAL: If the show you have selected says that it includes a meal. This is included within the price of the ticket you purchase. The meal will be the same for all customers, however dietary requirements, vegetarians & vegans can also be catered for. Customers will be asked for any requirements upon purchasing tickets. Barbary coast will prepare food in advance, and anyone who has not made clear any food requirements at the time of purchase, may not be able to be catered for as we were not made aware. No refunds for food issues will be made at anytime.

ORDER OF EVENTS: In general, the order of events will be as follows:

  • 8pm arrival
  • Food served 8.15pm to 8.30pm
  • ALL CUSTOMERS MUST ARRIVE by 8.15pm. If you do not arrive in time, you may not receive your free meal. Refunds will not be given for any late arrivals who do not get to eat on time.

  • 9.30pm show will start
  • Approx. 11.30pm show will end
  • 12am bar will close
  • (any difference to this run of events for individual shows, will be posted on the sale of the tickets / social media / website)

    CANCELLATION OF EVENT: If the event should be cancelled for any reason (for example illness, travel cancellations of the acts) – the company will either arrange another date for the event, for whaich anyone who purchased tickets will be automatically entitled too. Should the event be unable to be rescheduled due to any reason (for example artist cannot make another date) – full refunds will be given to all persons.

    COPYRIGHT / RECORDING EVENTS: All copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to Artiste’s performance and any material used by the Artiste during the performance remain vested with the Artiste. No electronic or other recordings of the Artiste’s performance can be made without our prior consent. Where consent for recording is given copies of such recording must be supplied to the Andaz Limited immediately after the engagement.
    Customers are not allowed to record any event whilst attending on any devise, anyone who does so, may be asked to leave immediately by security, and will not receive any refund.

    TICKET ISSUES: The Barbary Coast will use a third party for the sale of its ‘late late’ show tickets, anyone whom has any issue with receiving their tickets in anyway whatsoever, must contact the ticket company themselves, the Barbary Coast has no control of this matter whatsoever.

    BEHAVIOUR OF GUESTS: All guests are expected to behave in a respectable manner, should anyone behave in a way that the Barbary Coast are not satisfied, they will be asked to leave the premises. Should they refuse, the security provided on the night of the event will escort any person from the premises. No refund will be given to any person who is asked to leave before / during / after a show.

    PRIVACY TO ALL PERFORMERS: All customers are expected to behave in a courteous manner towards the acts, should anyone shout, swear, goad, be rude, throw missiles, unreasonable loudness, be to intoxicated, to any act. They will be asked to leave immediately. This will apply to ANY BEHAVOIUR that the company may feel is inappropriate, and the company’s decision on any persons behaviour will be final and undisputed.
    Customers are not allowed to approach the acts in anyway for pictures / song requests / or for any reason whatsoever. Anyone who does so without the consent of either the act or the company may be asked to leave immediately with no refund.

    PROOF OF AGE – ALCOHOL SALES: Some shows may allow persons under 18 years of age in. the minimum age for any person buying a ticket is clearly marked at the point of purchasing your tickets, should anyone underage purchase a ticket, and then be stopped at entry / during the event/ at any time of the event and asked for proof of age – and be unable to provide this. They will be refused entry / asked to leave immediately – with no refund. Only authorised Isle of Man proof of identity will be allowed (see police website for details) anyone who cannot prove they are old enough to enter, will be refused. If they have somehow managed to enter and are then asked for proof of age inside the premises – and cannot do so – will be ejected immediately.

    THE ACTS: The Barbary Coast endeavour to bring the best quality artists available for the shows, should a customer not be happy with the performance of the act, for any reason whatsoever, no refunds will be given. It is clearly not our intention to bring substandard acts, and all are vetted on previous UK shows and customer reviews of these shows.

    CUSTOMERS OFFENDED BY ACTS: The Barbary Coast (Andaz Limited) will not take responsibility for anyone who may be offended by any act. (For example a comedian) who may say offensive words, adult language, or any other reason whatsoever.
    Customers should be fully aware that (for example a comedy act) may ‘pick on’ persons close to the stage, say a joke that a particular person may take offense to whatsoever.
    Customers should be fully aware comedy acts can be rude, offensive, cover topics that some may take offense too.
    When purchasing tickets that are clearly marked as 18+ custmers are excepting these conditions at their on free will, and the company will not be held responsible for peoples feelings towards any matter.

    COMPANY HOLDS FINAL SAY: The company holds the final decision on any matter whatsoever, whether mentioned in the above conditions, or any matter that may arise in the future not mentioned. The decision of the company will be completely final and undisputed. The Company holds the right to alter / change / add / remove any condition mentioned above, or any future rules with no notice whatsoever.
